Our interests run from military fiction and science fiction to fantasy, history, and the things that make time with a book enjoyable. We write from a reader’s perspective; the subject matter does not imply military service or firsthand operational experience.
Reading guides & recaps
Reading orders separate the main sequence from companion books and spin-offs. Counts describe the titles listed in each section. A recap is intended for someone who has already finished that book, and stays hidden until deliberately revealed.
Available recaps include existing editor-reviewed material. Research drafts are not presented as completed guides. Availability does not mean that every book in a series has been covered.
Opinions, sources & corrections
Ratings are War & Fiction’s editorial opinions on a ten-point scale, not aggregated reader scores. They express a reading preference, rather than a measurement of objective quality. Where a rating has no accompanying explanation, treat it as a brief preference signal.
Factual claims, attributed quotations, and product specifications should be supported by identifiable sources. A suggested reading list is distinct from evidence for an article’s individual claims. Older articles are being revised to make that distinction clearer.
We welcome corrections to book metadata, historical details, and summaries. Contact us with the page, the disputed detail, and a source or book reference.
